Injection molding on consigned molds is the production of parts on a tool that remains the client's property. Alexander Plast receives the mold at its facility in Chwaszczyno near Gdynia, conducts a written condition inspection, repairs it in its own tool room, and launches a production run on injection molding machines ranging from 80 to 420 tons. From tool delivery to the first approved batch typically takes 2 to 4 weeks.

How we transfer production
The process is set up so that the risk of downtime lies with us, and you know at every stage what is happening with your tool.
- Consultation and initial assessmentYou provide the mold dimensions, the tonnage of the machine it has been running on, the material, and the volume. We tell you right away if the tool fits in our park, before anyone arranges transport.
- Receipt and tool inspectionWe take the mold into our records and disassemble it. We check cavities, cooling, ejectors, guiding, and sealing. You receive a report with a list of necessary and recommended work, including pricing.
- Repair after your approvalWe do nothing without your consent. After approval, the toolroom executes the agreed scope on site, including making components when there is no documentation or spare parts.
- Trials and reference sampleWe start up the mold, adjust parameters, and deliver samples from the trials. You approve the reference sample, and we save the process parameters on the machine so that subsequent batches are repeatable.
- Production and mold careWe enter the schedule, carry out periodic inspections, and notify you in advance when the tool approaches its wear limit. The mold remains your property at all times.
What we check during a mold inspection
The inspection is mandatory, even when the mold looks fine. Without it, we cannot honestly promise a deadline or quality, because half of production problems lie in the tool, not in the process.

A mold without documentation is not a problem. We regularly accept tools brought in from Asia or taken over from a liquidated supplier, without drawings and without spare parts. We recreate dimensions by measurement, and we make missing elements in-house. The inspection then takes longer, but you still get to know the scope of work before it starts.
Mold transfer from the Tri-City and Pomerania
Our plant is located in Chwaszczyno at 19 Telewizyjna Street, just beyond the Gdynia border, on Provincial Road 218. When transporting a mold, distance directly translates into cost and risk: a shorter route means cheaper transport, less risk of tool damage, and the ability to inspect it together with us right after unloading.
Gdynia, Sopot, Rumia
15 to 25 minutes from the plant. You can bring the mold in on your own transport in the morning, and in the afternoon be present at its opening and see the condition of the cavities with your own eyes.
Gdańsk and Surroundings
About 30 minutes via the Tri-City ring road. It's worth being present during tryouts, as a decision on adjustments is made within a dozen or so minutes, not after several days of exchanging photos.

The entrusted form remains your property throughout our collaboration. It is marked, cataloged, and returned upon request with documentation, without any prerequisites.
No Work Without Consent
The scope and cost of repairs are determined before they begin, based on the protocol. Defects caused by our side during production are removed at our expense.
Confidentiality of Documentation
We treat drawings, models, and process parameters as confidential information. We sign a non-disclosure agreement before handing over documentation if you expect it.

Przy formie w dobrym stanie od dostarczenia narzędzia do pierwszej zatwierdzonej partii mija zwykle od dwóch do czterech tygodni. Największą zmienną jest stan formy: jeżeli wymaga naprawy albo dorobienia elementów, termin wydłuża zakres prac narzędziowni, a nie kolejka na maszynie.
Czy sprawdzacie formę przed uruchomieniem?
Tak, przegląd jest obowiązkowy. Sprawdzamy stan gniazd, układ chłodzenia, wypychacze, prowadzenie i szczelność, a wynik dostajesz na piśmie razem z wykazem prac koniecznych i zalecanych. Dopiero po Twojej akceptacji przechodzimy do prób.
Kto płaci za naprawę formy?
Zakres i koszt ustalamy przed rozpoczęciem prac, na podstawie protokołu z przeglądu. Nic nie robimy bez Twojej zgody. Prace wynikające z normalnego zużycia rozliczamy osobno, a usterki powstałe po naszej stronie w trakcie produkcji usuwamy na własny koszt.
Czy forma pozostaje moją własnością?
Tak. Forma powierzona pozostaje Twoją własnością przez cały czas współpracy, jest oznaczona i ewidencjonowana, a na żądanie wydajemy ją wraz z dokumentacją. Warunki przechowywania i odpowiedzialności zapisujemy w umowie.
Co jeśli forma nie ma dokumentacji?
Bierzemy takie narzędzia. Brak dokumentacji oznacza dłuższy przegląd, bo wymiary i układ chłodzenia odtwarzamy pomiarowo, a części zamienne dorabiamy w naszej narzędziowni. To częsty przypadek i zwykle da się doprowadzić formę do stabilnej pracy.
Gdzie trzeba dostarczyć formę i jak daleko to jest z Trójmiasta?
Formę dostarcza się do zakładu w Chwaszczynie przy ulicy Telewizyjnej 19, tuż za granicą Gdyni, przy drodze wojewódzkiej 218. Z Gdyni to około 15 minut, z Gdańska około 30 minut obwodnicą Trójmiasta. Przyjmujemy również narzędzia z całej Polski i z Unii Europejskiej.
